Holiday Inn London Gatwick Airport is a big and beatiful hotel near the Gatwick Airport (London). This place is perfect for bussiness and disabled people and their families. It has a adapted accomodations for weddings, meeting rooms and restaurants.

The room is a suit in the ground floor. It's one of the adapted rooms,  they have a few more in the same floor. It is a large and comfortable room, with a great bathroom and has a door connected  with the accessible room. 

The bathroom is accessible but not fully adapted. The toilet is totally accessible, but the problem is there a bath not a shower, but it is accessible

The hotel has a big disabled parking close to the reception.



If you need to travel or have a bussiness meeting near Gatwick Airport this is a good option, because the hotel is accessible.

Hotel Birger Jarl, Stockholm (Sweden)

     

Hotel Birger Jarl is a very nice and very chic with friendly staff and good facilities. Although  this place did not have a fully adapted room it was fully accessible and the room was large enough for a wheelchair.

The room was a suit and the only one in the hotel that is accessible. It was very clean and very  modern.

The bathroom was very nice and accessible but not adapted. The hotel provides a shower seat which is good depending on the person disability. It is highly recommended that a carer be accompanied.

It offers traditional Swedish cuisine and continental breakfast. Which was very nice and the staff are so friendly they do help you if you need assistance.

The Bar is completely accessible and very stylish. I would recommend Birger Jarl as we spoke to the manager and they plan to have a complete adapted room.

The Hotel plans to have a fully adapted room very soon.

For my work I travel a lot, so I try to find an accessible room which are adapted. In my experience there seems to be not that many adapted rooms. There are many accessible rooms but they do not have the facilities. The problem is not all hotels have adapted rooms even though it makes good business sense. 

So, I decided to write about my experiences in hotels to show disabled people like me, to write about these  accessible rooms I hope to help disabled people know where to find accessible rooms anywhere in the world.
